# Gird AI: Your AI Coach for everything you practice > Add a Coach for fitness, music, language, art, or study. Your Coach in Grok, Claude, or ChatGPT plans sessions and cycles toward your recital, exam, or meet — the phone logs what you actually did. ## Fast facts - What: the coaching app for anything you practice — fitness, music, language, art, study. - Coach: one Bot in the assistant you already use (Grok primary, plus Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor via MCP at https://api.gird.app/mcp). No chat inside the app. - Grok requirement: Grok Bots need a SuperGrok plan or higher. - Phone: iPhone and Android; offline-first, syncs when back online. - Languages: English, Spanish, French (fitness content fully translated; other disciplines fall back to English). - Access: open signup; create an account to start your 14-day trial. - Rule Coach never breaks: it never records a session or checks off a to-do for you. History is what the phone recorded. - Privacy: videos stay on the phone; leaders never see emails; leaving a group revokes access immediately. ## How it works 1. Add a Coach: Pick a discipline. Each Coach gets a name, a color, and its own space on Home — Strength Coach, Piano Coach, Spanish Coach. 2. Talk to Coach in your assistant: Say what you're working toward. Coach writes today's piece, plans the cycle back from the date, and pins a note with the week's focus. 3. Do the work on the phone: Start the session and log the sets, bars, cards, or pages. Coach sees what you did — never what you meant to do. Coach connects over MCP with an OAuth grant as the signed-in phone user — never a shared API key. Coach adds five pounds when the bar moved well and pulls back when your RPE says so. - Who: For lifters and mixed-modal athletes who want a plan that reacts to last week, not a spreadsheet they have to maintain. - Plans: Strength programs — 5x5 and beyond, with load progressions Coach adjusts from your logs; Metcons in every Format: for time, AMRAP, EMOM, tabata, rounds for time, chipper; Benchmark workouts you repeat under the same standards so Scores compare; 1RM tests, and a Development Cycle that peaks for the meet - Phone records: Sets, reps, load, and rest — with rep counters and a rest timer that runs itself; Scores that fit the Format: time (capped or not), rounds and reps, reps, calories, load; Estimated 1RM per session and recorded 1RM tests, per lift; RPE and a note at Finish, so Coach knows how heavy it felt - Toward the date: Give Coach the meet date and it works backward: accumulation, intensification, taper, and the reminders for each. - Catalog: 263 exercises, 33 System Workouts, and 3 Programs ship in the app, in English, Spanish, and French. Coach builds on them or writes its own. - Words: a session is a "Workout", one item a "Exercise", a plan a "Development Cycle", the record a "Session", building toward a "Competition". - Try saying: "Create a 5x5 squat at 80 kg and pin it to Favorites"; "I have a meet in 8 weeks — plan a Development Cycle"; "I skipped yesterday — talk me into something short"; "How did my week go?" - Page: https://gird.app/coaches/fitness ### Music Coach Technique, repertoire, and run-throughs — planned backward from the performance date, logged in minutes and honest 1–10 ratings. - Who: For musicians at any level who know what to practice but not how to spread it across the weeks before a performance. - Plans: Practice Sessions: warm-up, technique, repertoire, sight-reading, ear training, theory; Repertoire passes with tempo targets and the bars to loop; Run-throughs of the full piece, rated 1–10 so you can see the trend; A Preparation Cycle that peaks for the recital, audition, or gig - Phone records: Practice Logs with minutes per drill and per session; Run-through Ratings — how it went, separate from how hard it felt; Notes on what wobbled, which Coach turns into Thursday's loop; A history your teacher can read, if you share it - Toward the date: The Preparation Cycle ends on performance day: learning, polishing, run-throughs, then a lighter final week. - Catalog: Drill categories: technique, repertoire, sight-reading, ear training, theory, run-through. Coach writes Practice Sessions from them for your instrument. - Words: a session is a "Practice Session", one item a "Drill", a plan a "Preparation Cycle", the record a "Practice Log", building toward a "Performance". - Try saying: "Add a music coach — I'm starting piano"; "I have a piano recital on the 14th — plan my practice until then"; "Pin a note on my coach's screen with this week's bars"; "Record a practice log: Nocturne, two slow passes, second one clean" - Page: https://gird.app/coaches/music ### Language Coach Vocabulary, grammar, listening, speaking — short Study Sessions every day, mock conversations you rate, and a Learning Cycle that ends when the plane leaves. - Who: For learners preparing for a DELE, a JLPT, a move abroad, or a summer trip — anyone who needs the daily twenty minutes to actually happen. - Plans: Study Sessions that rotate skills: listening first while you're fresh, then cards, then speaking; Drills by skill: vocabulary, grammar, listening, speaking, reading, writing; Mock conversations and mock tests as run-throughs, rated 1–10; A Learning Cycle toward the exam date or the departure date - Phone records: Session Logs with minutes per skill; Run-through Ratings for mock tests and conversations; Notes in your own words about what still trips you up; A weekly picture of which skills got time and which did not - Toward the date: Exam or trip, Coach builds the Learning Cycle to end on the date and front-loads the skill the test rewards most. - Catalog: Drill categories: vocabulary, grammar, listening, speaking, reading, writing. Coach writes Study Sessions for your language and level. - Words: a session is a "Study Session", one item a "Drill", a plan a "Learning Cycle", the record a "Session Log", building toward a "Exam or trip". - Try saying: "I'm at A2 Spanish with a trip in June — plan my Learning Cycle"; "What should I do today?"; "Add a language coach — I'm starting Japanese"; "Remind me at 7 to do my listening before work" - Page: https://gird.app/coaches/language ### Art Coach Fundamentals, studies, sketches, finished work, and critique — Studio Sessions planned into a Project Cycle that ends at the show or the portfolio deadline. - Who: For artists with a portfolio due, a show to hang, or a skill to rebuild — who want structure without someone else's curriculum. - Plans: Studio Sessions that balance fundamentals with finished pieces; Exercises by category: fundamentals, studies, sketches, finished work, critique; Critique sessions as run-throughs, rated 1–10 against your own bar; A Project Cycle that counts backward from the deadline to six finished pieces - Phone records: Studio Logs with minutes per exercise; Ratings for critiques and finished-work reviews; Notes on what to change next time; A calendar that shows the studio days that happened and the ones that did not - Toward the date: A show or a portfolio deadline sets the end of the Project Cycle; Coach spaces studies, finished pieces, and review so the last week is framing, not painting. - Catalog: Exercise categories: fundamentals, study, sketch, finished work, critique. Coach writes Studio Sessions around your medium and your deadline. - Words: a session is a "Studio Session", one item a "Exercise", a plan a "Project Cycle", the record a "Studio Log", building toward a "Show or portfolio deadline". - Try saying: "My portfolio is due March 1 — plan a Project Cycle to get six finished pieces"; "Add an art coach — figure drawing, twice a week"; "Pin a note: value studies before color this week"; "How many studio sessions did I get in this month?" - Page: https://gird.app/coaches/art ### Study Coach Review, problem sets, flashcards, mock tests — Study Blocks planned by Coach, checked off by you, building to the exam date. - Who: For students facing a final, a board, a bar, or a certification — who want a plan that says what to do tonight, not just when the exam is. - Plans: Study Blocks of 25–55 minutes with the task order that works: recall before problem sets; Tasks by category: review, practice problems, flashcards, mock test, textbook; Mock tests as run-throughs, rated 1–10 so you can see readiness move; An Exam Cycle by subject, with the mock schedule built in - Phone records: Study Logs with minutes per subject and per block; Mock-test Ratings over time; Daily check-offs for the habits around the studying: sleep, review cards, phone in the other room; Notes Coach reads before the weekly review - Toward the date: The Exam Cycle ends on test day; mocks land where they tell you something, and the last days are review, not new material. - Catalog: Task categories: review, practice problems, flashcards, mock test, textbook. Coach writes Study Blocks for your subjects and your exam. - Words: a session is a "Study Block", one item a "Task", a plan a "Exam Cycle", the record a "Study Log", building toward a "Exam". - Try saying: "My chemistry final is May 12 — plan an Exam Cycle"; "Two focus sessions tonight — 55 minutes each"; "Add “review flashcards” to my daily todos"; "How did my week go?" - Page: https://gird.app/coaches/study ## Most apps track. Gird AI coaches. A tracker asks you to do the planning and the motivating, then draws a chart. Gird AI puts a Coach on the planning and keeps the phone honest about the doing. A tracking app: You type the plan in by hand; You log the work; You read the charts and decide what to change; It pings you on a schedule whether or not you showed up Gird AI: Coach writes the plan in conversation and adjusts it from your history; You do the work; the phone records it; You and Coach read the same numbers and decide together; Coach checks in once a day, takes one small step or stays quiet — and drops the nudge if you already did the thing ## Family, team, studio, class Groups let a parent, coach, or teacher place a reminder on a member's phone — only with that member's consent, always labelled with who asked, never with an email address. Three switches per group, changeable only by the member: leaders may send reminders (on), leaders may see training (off), leaders may see all reminders (off). Join with an 8-character code or a gird://join link. Details: https://gird.app/circles ## For trainers Open a branded training group (name, colors, app title), invite clients with a code, and program, nudge, and review every client in conversation. Clients get a simplified app with no bot and nothing to configure. Details: https://gird.app/trainers ## Pricing Personal: $9.99/month or $69.99/year, 14-day free trial, billed by the App Store or Google Play. Trainer tiers (billed on the web through Stripe, 14-day trial with card, clients pay nothing): - Starter: $39/month or $390/year, up to 10 clients - Studio: $79/month or $790/year, up to 30 clients - Team: $149/month or $1490/year, up to 100 clients Guest mode (local-only, no account) is free forever. When a subscription ends, sync keeps working for a 30-day lapsed window while Coach is blocked; after that the app works locally. Full details: https://gird.app/pricing Q: Is there a free trial? A: Yes — 14 days on every plan. Personal is $9.99/month or $69.99/year and trials start in the app through the App Store or Google Play; Trainer tiers run $39–$149/month and trials start on the web with a card. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. Guest mode (local-only, no account) stays free forever. Q: How do I cancel? A: Personal: cancel in your phone's subscriptions — App Store or Google Play — and you keep access until the end of the billing period. Trainer: open Manage billing from your account page; the tier stays active until the period ends and your clients keep training until then. No emails, no calls. Q: Can I get a refund? A: Personal subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so refunds go through them under store policy. Trainer tiers are billed by us through Stripe — if something went wrong, email support@gird.app and we'll make it right. Q: What happens to my data if I stop paying? A: Nothing is deleted. For 30 days your phone keeps syncing so everything stays backed up, but Coach stops answering. After that the app keeps working locally with what's on your phone. Resubscribe any time and sync and Coach pick up where they left off. Q: Do my clients pay anything? A: No. Your Trainer tier covers your seats — 10, 30, or 100 clients depending on the tier. Clients train in your branded app for free and need no AI subscription of their own. Q: Do I still need a Grok, Claude, or ChatGPT plan? A: For Coach, yes — that part is separate and you pay the assistant maker, not us. Grok Bots require a SuperGrok plan or higher; Claude and ChatGPT work through a host prompt pack on whatever plan you already have. See the FAQ for the current details. ## FAQ ### Getting in Q: Do I need Grok? A: No — use the assistant you already pay for. Grok is the primary surface: Coach is a Grok Bot, and Grok Bots require a SuperGrok plan or higher (see Grok plans). Claude and ChatGPT work too through the same connection plus a host prompt pack (see How it works). The app has no chat of its own: the conversation happens with your assistant, and the app is where you do the work and see your progress. Q: How do I get an account? A: Create an account to start your 14-day free trial — no invite needed. You can also leave your details and we'll follow up. Q: Which phones does it run on? A: iPhone and Android. The app is in English, Spanish, and French; fitness content is fully translated and the other disciplines fall back to English. Q: How do I connect Coach? A: Sign in on the phone, then add a custom connector with the MCP URL the app shows on its Setup screen. In Grok open Connectors; in Claude go to Customize → Connectors → Add custom connector (https://api.gird.app/mcp); in ChatGPT add the MCP server URL in developer settings; in Cursor add it as a custom MCP server. Approve the Gird AI sign-in when asked. Then say “Set me up”. The full walkthrough is on How it works. ### Coach Q: What can Coach do, and what can it never do? A: Coach writes your sessions, plans Development Cycles toward a date, schedules reminders, pins Coach Notes, and reads your history and your notes. It never records a Session for you and never marks a daily to-do done. What shows up in your history is what you did on the phone. Q: Will Coach message me on its own? A: Only if you let it. Once a day, on a routine you agree to, Coach reads a snapshot of today and the last week and either takes one small step or stays quiet. Every unattended action — a nudge, moving a day, swapping in a shorter session you pre-approved — is off by default and can be set to ask-first or automatic. Quiet hours and daily and weekly caps apply, and a reminder for a session you already finished is dropped before it fires. Q: Can I use the app without the Bot? A: Yes. Every Coach action has a manual fallback in the app: build a session, plan a cycle, set a 1RM, dismiss a note. It is the secondary path, but nothing depends on the Bot being reachable. Q: One Bot or one per Coach? A: One Bot. It checks which Coaches you have at the start of every conversation and speaks as the one you're talking about, using that discipline's words. Your Piano Coach never edits your lifting cycle. Q: How do I disconnect an assistant? A: Revoke that assistant's grant at api.gird.app/connections — Grok, Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor each appear as their own connection. The phone stays signed in; Coach simply loses access until you connect again. Never connect Coach with a shared API key. ### Your data Q: Does it work offline? A: Yes. The phone is the primary store while you train: sessions are written locally and synced to your account when you're online. Coach reads them from there. Q: What does Gird AI store? A: Your account email, the Coaches you added, the sessions and cycles Coach wrote, your completed sessions with their set logs and Scores, reminders, Coach Notes, daily to-dos and notes, and your Profile from intake. Videos you attach to a session stay on your phone and are never uploaded. Details are in the Privacy Policy. Q: Who can see my data in a family or team group? A: Only what you allow, per group, with three switches only you can change: whether leaders may send you reminders (on by default), whether they may see your training summary (off), and whether they may see all your reminders (off). Leaders never see your email. Leaving a group revokes everything at once. Q: How do I delete my account? A: Email support@gird.app from the address on the account. We delete the account and its synced data; anything still on your phone is removed when you delete the app. ### Pricing and billing Q: Is there a free trial? A: Yes — 14 days on every plan. Personal is $9.99/month or $69.99/year and trials start in the app through the App Store or Google Play; Trainer tiers run $39–$149/month and trials start on the web with a card. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. Guest mode (local-only, no account) stays free forever. Q: How do I cancel? Grok Bots require a SuperGrok plan or higher; Claude and ChatGPT work through a host prompt pack on whatever plan you already have. See the FAQ for the current details. ### Support Q: Something is broken, or I want a feature A: Tell Coach — “report a problem” or “request a feature” — or use the Feedback screen in the app. Both file the same report. You can also email support@gird.app. Q: Is Gird AI affiliated with xAI? A: No. Gird AI is an independent app that connects to Grok through xAI's connector interface. Grok is a trademark of xAI. ## Coach MCP tools (via https://api.gird.app) Coach acts through 80 tools over MCP at https://api.gird.app/mcp (OAuth, scope "gird", bound to the signed-in phone user; anonymous calls get 401; white-label clients have no bot).
