Music Coach

Practice with the recital in view

Technique, repertoire, and run-throughs — planned backward from the performance date, logged in minutes and honest 1–10 ratings.

For musicians at any level who know what to practice but not how to spread it across the weeks before a performance.

What Coach plans

  • Practice Sessions: warm-up, technique, repertoire, sight-reading, ear training, theory
  • Repertoire passes with tempo targets and the bars to loop
  • Run-throughs of the full piece, rated 1–10 so you can see the trend
  • A Preparation Cycle that peaks for the recital, audition, or gig

What your phone records

  • Practice Logs with minutes per drill and per session
  • Run-through Ratings — how it went, separate from how hard it felt
  • Notes on what wobbled, which Coach turns into Thursday's loop
  • A history your teacher can read, if you share it

How it went, apart from how hard it was

Run-through Rating, 1–10

A run-through gets a Rating: the Score for that Format. RPE stays separate, because a clean pass can still be exhausting. Coach reads both, plus your note, and turns the wobbly bars into Thursday's loop.

  • Every run-through in History carries its Rating, so the trend is there to read
  • Edit feedback later from History if you rated too fast
  • Nothing is graded — the number is yours, Coach just reads it
Session feedback: rate the run-through 1 to 10, RPE, and a note for Coach

Toward the date

Preparation Cycle: built back from the performance

The Preparation Cycle ends on performance day: learning, polishing, run-throughs, then a lighter final week.

Every plan is a preparation cycle in your Music Coach's color, with its own reminders. Miss a day and the calendar says so — a fact, never a verdict.

In the catalog

Drill categories: technique, repertoire, sight-reading, ear training, theory, run-through. Coach writes Practice Sessions from them for your instrument.

  • Add a music coach — I'm starting piano
  • I have a piano recital on the 14th — plan my practice until then
  • Pin a note on my coach's screen with this week's bars
